Maggie is an artist, writer, art educator and arts activist. A retired art educator with 35 years in public and private schools, Davis brings a life long commitment to advocating for the arts. In collaboration with Stallings, Davis created a performative drawing based on the dancer’s journals for the residency at the Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia. Davis’s interest in bridging the gap between public understanding and contemporary art appears in critical reviews in Art Papers, BurnAway, Arts ATL and Number 83, Journal of the Arts. As an arts advocate, she serves on the board for the Zuckerman Museum of Art, the Women’s Caucus for Art Georgia, and is President of Roswell Arts Renaissance Inc., a non-profit public art initiative. Davis was a contributing member of the Steering Committee for Imagine Roswell Arts 2020, the City of Roswell’s cultural arts plan.
