Rebekah Pleasant Patterson

Rebekah graduated with a BFA in Dance performance and Movement composition under the deanship of Ethan Stiefel at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Rebekah has danced with The Metropolitan Opera, Helen Simoneau Danse,  Laurie Taylor Soul Movement,City Gate Dance Theater, Full Radius Dance. She has also had the opportunity to work and train with Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Larry Keigwin, Juel Lane, and Carla Maxwell/ Limon Dance Company. Rebekah has traveled around the world performing in dance festivals in countries such as Seoul,South Korea, Suzhou, China, and Burgos, Madrid and Valencia, Spain.She is also an actress and model. Rebekah has appeared on Youtube Red’s Step Up Dance tutorials, Netflix Series Raising Dion, and A Black Girls guide to Fertility and numerous advertisements.

Rebekah and her husband work together choreographing for events and concerts. Most recently they choreographed for Aloe Blacc’s “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” for the 2019 Super Bowl tailgate party nationally aired on CBS. They have also had residencies in Suzhou, China at G5 Art gallery where they choreographed, and dance with The band Liz and the Lions, and numerous colleges and universities. She enjoys her life as a dancer and choreographer but also loves the world of  justice, logistics and event planning. When she’s not dancing being a Mom and wife, Rebekah is fundraising for  her girls mentorship program “We Belong” and works as an independent contractor for Solutions for Interrupted Education, and planning events for family reunions, conferences, weddings, birthday parties, woman gatherings , and dance/music concerts.

In everything she does, Rebekah seeks to  live in light, shine light, and see people.
